Frequently Asked Questions

 

How far in advance should I book my photo session?

​

Our schedule usually fills up 4-6 weeks in advance. Please try to keep that in mind when booking. It’s always best to reach out “too early” than too late.

Where does the session take place?

Newborn sessions, these take place in my home studio located south Guelph. There is a travel fee if you would like to me come to your home, this is only done with my Full Newborn Session.

 

Maternity sessions, location may vary. Outdoors or Indoors in my studio.

 

Cake Smash Sessions, usually take place in my home studio.

 

 

When should I book my photoshoot session?

 

Newborn, I generally aim for between 5 and 14 days. Though this isn’t set in stone. Have an older newborn, give me a call!

 

Newborn sessions are booked at least 3-6 months in advance. Please do not wait to have the baby to book a session. I only book a limited number of newborn due dates a month and will not always be able to accommodate a last-minute booking. Once baby has arrived, please contact me within 48 hours to schedule your session date which will take place when baby is 5-14 days old (preferably before 10 days old).

 

Maternity sessions are usually booked in your 2nd trimester. The earlier the better so you can relax and concentrate on the little human growing inside you. Sessions are ideally scheduled while you are between 30 and 34 weeks, though this can be different if you are expecting multiples and or/this is not your first pregnancy. Already 35 weeks? No worries! We can still work to get you in.

 

Cake Smash sessions, are special and take a lot more time planning. Please if you can book us at least a month out before the photo session takes place.

 

 

What should I bring to my session?

 

Newborn, you are not obligated to bring anything. Nothing is required of you to bring to a session. I provide all of the backdrops/accessories necessary for the session. That being said, you are more than welcome bring an item or outfit you like, and I will try to incorporate it into the session… though this is not required.

 

Maternity, I have a beautiful collection of maternity gowns and silk fabrics available to you. Of course, you are more than welcome to bring an outfit you want to wear. I encourage you to embrace this time and feel comfortable in your own skin.

 

Are parents/siblings included in the session?

Newborn, yes of course if you want to be! I definitely encourage parents to take at least one family image together. Parents are sometimes so busy behind the cameras that we forget to stand in front.

Maternity, yes it is encouraged! 

​

Cake Smash, there is a fee of $50 per person to be included in the cake smash photos.

 

When can I expect to receive my images?

Depending on which package you select, the turnaround time is normally 2 weeks. If completed earlier, I will send it to you right away.

 

Are Unedited/Raw images available?

Unedited/raw images are not available for purchasing at any time.
