Why is maternity photography important

In the months and years to come, as you focus on raising your new child, you may forget what it felt like to be eagerly awaiting their arrival. Maternity photos can serve as a reminder of those feelings–and a tangible memory of love and hope.

 

How far in advance should I book my photo session?

 

Our schedule usually fills up 4-6 weeks in advance. Please try to keep that in mind when booking. It’s always best to reach out “too early” then too late.

 

If you know you want to work with me, I would book as soon as possible, usually done within the 2nd trimester.

Where do I photograph?

 

Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Mississauga, Burlington, Hamilton, London and greater Toronto area, and surrounding areas. 

 

When should I book my photoshoot session?

 

 

Maternity sessions are usually booked in your 2nd trimester. The earlier the better so you can relax and concentrate on the little human growing inside you. Sessions are ideally scheduled while you are between 28 and 34 weeks, though this may vary on how many children you have. First time parents, mom may be tiny still and won’t show an obvious bump until 34 weeks… This can be different if you are expecting multiples too, you may be showing sooner if this is the case.  Already 35 weeks? No worries! We can still work to get you in, please reach out asap!

 

Where does the session take place?

 

Maternity sessions, location may vary. I love to photograph Outdoors, but I also photograph Indoors in my studio (south of Guelph). I have travelled around Canada. However, usually this is done in my studio, or outdoors in the Guelph, KWC area.

What should I bring to my session?

 

Maternity, I have a beautiful collection of maternity gowns and silk fabrics available to you. Of course, you are more than welcome to bring an outfit you want to wear. I encourage you to embrace this time and feel comfortable in your own skin.

Please bring the appropriate undergarment to go with the gowns you select.

 

 

When can I expect to receive my images?

Depending on which package you select, the turnaround time is normally 3 weeks. If completed earlier, I will send it to you right away.

If there's an event you need your photos earlier, please let me know.

 

Are Unedited/Raw images available?

Unedited/raw images are not available for purchasing at any time.
